UniqYou, a Bengaluru-based fashion-technology startup, has raised Rs 15.8 crore in a seed funding round led by Arkam Ventures and Antler, with participation from a notable roster of angel investors including Tracxn co-founder Abhishek Goyal, Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Myntra co-founder Raveen Sastry and former Myntra chief executive Nandita Sinha. The round values the company at approximately Rs 64 crore post-money, a figure notably higher than the Rs 12 crore valuation the startup was earlier reported to be targeting when it began fundraising conversations, reflecting stronger-than-expected investor demand for the round once it opened. Founded in 2026 by Sneha Priya Reddy and Nishanth Jois, UniqYou is building a technology-led platform for women's fashion that uses artificial intelligence to identify emerging trends and curate product recommendations, aiming to create a more personalised shopping experience than the largely search-and-filter-driven discovery mechanisms that dominate most Indian fashion e-commerce today.
The involvement of such a concentrated group of well-known Indian consumer internet operators as angel investors is a particularly notable feature of the round, given that Myntra co-founder Raveen Sastry and former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha both bring direct operating experience from building and running India's largest fashion e-commerce platform. Their participation signals a degree of insider conviction in UniqYou's specific approach to fashion discovery that extends beyond generic enthusiasm for the category, and founders in India's startup ecosystem frequently point to this kind of operator-angel backing as carrying outsized value relative to the capital itself, given the pattern-matching and specific tactical guidance such investors can offer on problems they have already solved once at scale. UniqYou's core technology bet is that AI-driven trend identification and personalisation can meaningfully outperform the rules-based recommendation engines that most Indian fashion platforms currently rely on, particularly for a category where taste, occasion and rapidly shifting trend cycles make static filtering a poor substitute for genuinely adaptive curation. The company's founders have described their approach as combining computer-vision-based trend detection across social media and runway sources with individual shopper behaviour data, a technically ambitious combination that will need to prove itself against both established e-commerce incumbents and a growing field of AI-native fashion-tech challengers emerging across the sector globally.

India's fashion-tech sector has evolved considerably since Myntra's early dominance of the category, with newer entrants increasingly differentiating on discovery and personalisation technology rather than pure catalogue breadth or price competition, a strategic shift that reflects the category's maturation as Indian consumers have grown more comfortable with online fashion purchasing generally. UniqYou's positioning within this evolving landscape places it alongside a cohort of AI-native fashion-tech startups attempting to solve what founders in the space describe as fashion e-commerce's persistent discovery problem: the gap between the enormous breadth of product catalogues most platforms now offer and shoppers' practical ability to find items that genuinely match their taste and needs within that breadth. Arkam Ventures, which co-led the round, has built a portfolio focused on Indian consumer and fintech startups with an emphasis on companies solving problems specific to Indian market conditions rather than adapting Western business models wholesale, a thesis that aligns with UniqYou's explicit focus on women's fashion discovery calibrated to Indian style preferences and price sensitivities. Antler, the round's other co-lead, has built a global early-stage investment platform with a distinctive company-building model that pairs founders with capital and structured support from the earliest ideation stage, and its participation in UniqYou's seed round extends the firm's growing presence within India's consumer technology ecosystem.
