BikeWo Green Tech, an Indian electric mobility startup, has appointed Sumanth Badiga to its Advisory Board as the company looks to expand its footprint across enterprise mobility and logistics. Badiga is Managing Director of Jasper Industries and Chairman of Adithya Automotive Applications, and brings a career built largely within the Tata ecosystem, spanning senior roles across both commercial and passenger vehicle segments, distribution and after-sales operations.
BikeWo said Badiga will advise on commercial vehicle strategy, fleet development, OEM and industry partnerships, procurement and deployment, enterprise relationships and specialised logistics applications — a mandate that reflects the company's ambition to move beyond consumer-facing electric two-wheelers and into the more complex, higher-stakes world of enterprise fleet electrification.
India's electric vehicle sector has moved through several distinct phases over the past few years, from early consumer adoption of electric two-wheelers driven by subsidy schemes and fuel-cost savings, toward a more mature phase focused on fleet electrification, charging infrastructure buildout, and enterprise partnerships with logistics companies, e-commerce platforms and last-mile delivery operators. BikeWo's stated focus on last-mile, mid-mile and long-mile logistics initiatives places it squarely within this second wave, competing for a share of India's rapidly electrifying commercial vehicle fleet.
