The disclosure gives investors and industry watchers the clearest timeline yet for India's largest telecom operator to move from spectrum and ground-infrastructure planning into an active satellite deployment phase.

The LEO constellation is central to Jio's ambitions to extend broadband connectivity into India's remotest and least-served regions, where traditional fibre and tower-based infrastructure remains economically difficult to justify given low population density and challenging terrain.
